Yesterday, we had an amazing time celebrating Thomas Foon Chew at the historic South Bay Yacht Club in Alviso! It was a day filled with learning, storytelling, and fun as we honored one of the most influential Chinese-American entrepreneurs of the early 20th century.

Thomas Foon Chew was a visionary businessman who turned Bayside Canning Company into one of the largest canneries in the U.S. His impact went beyond business—he provided jobs for thousands, built strong community ties, and overcame the challenges of racial discrimination.
