CP Mentorship - First Youth Committee Meeting
We are thrilled to share the success of our very first Youth Committee meeting! The event was not just about setting the stage for future projects but also a moment to unite young minds driven by the same goal—to make an impact on their communities.
Our meeting began with introductions, where committee members expressed their passions, from art and advocacy to technology and environmental justice. It was inspiring to witness such a diverse group of young leaders come together, each bringing unique skills and experiences to the table.
The agenda covered key topics, including committee selection rules, team introductions, and an overview of our current needs. We delved into the various committees that will drive our initiatives forward, including:
Public Art
Water Conservation
AI for Good Committee
History & Culture
Wellness Committee
Environmental Justice Committee
Data Science
Each committee is essential to our mission of helping children turn their ideas into world-changing actions. We held engaging discussions about each committee's focus and how they can contribute to our overarching goals.
One of the highlights was the emphasis on leadership training, ensuring that each committee member is equipped to take on future challenges with confidence. This aligns perfectly with our mission to foster education, mentorship, and leadership opportunities that empower youth.
We are excited for what lies ahead and look forward to continuing this journey of collaboration, learning, and positive impact. Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming meetings and the incredible projects these young leaders will drive forward!
