SVCE At the Maker’s Faire
Yesterday, on March 29th, we had the incredible opportunity to host a booth at the Makers Faire at Coyote Grange. (Thank you so much to Elise for organizing this event!) Our focus was on advertising our many events, including our SVCE Clean Energy In Art workshops.
Our booth was a mix of visual appeal and semi-interactive elements. We had set up a DIY water filter, and set out some other miscellaneous DIY items, including a mini wind turbine, showcasing how they worked up close. On our board, we had vibrant posters and flyers advertising our upcoming summer camps. Some of these camps were designed to teach kids about being green, including our Green Fashion summer camp and our Sculpture summer camps. Others were CP Mentorship’s summer camps, including our annual mural painting camps and our various other summer camps held in Alviso.
One of the best parts of having a booth at the Makers Faire was the interaction with visitors. We talked to many people and introduced them to clean energy and CP Mentorship in general.
Being at the Makers Faire, sharing our passion for clean energy, and introducing our summer camps, was an incredible experience. It felt like we were able to spark curiosity and excitement in both kids and adults alike, opening the door to future innovators and eco-conscious thinkers. Clean energy is the way forward, and it was thrilling to see so many people eager to learn more about how they can be a part of that movement. We can’t wait for our summer camps to kick off and inspire the next generation of energy pioneers!
