Summer Camp Parents Guide

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Summer Camp by CP Mentorship – a uniquely crafted multi-activities experience! Your child's well-being is our top priority, and we take pride in providing the best summer camp that continues to grow each year.

At CP Mentorship Camp, it's all about participation and FUN. Our dynamic program guarantees a full day of high-energy, exciting, and ever-changing activities. From Monday to Friday, the camp runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, ensuring a well-rounded experience for your child.

Please note that children should not arrive before 8:50 am, and pick-up time is promptly at 3:00 pm. CP Mentorship kindly reminds you that we are not responsible for children outside of these specified camp hours.

o   Registration and Group Organization

Registration will take place on the first morning of the camp. Each child will be allocated a group for the week.

On the first morning of the summer camp registration takes place. The kids are divided into groups according to their age. Our camp manager will welcome all the kids to our camp and introduce our staff and tell them about the day events. Activities begin no later than 10:00 a.m. on the first day.

Any outstanding balance must be paid in full on the first morning. Any queries you might have will be answered in full.

o   Drop Off/ Pick Up

Campers can be dropped off at Alviso Park (24 Wilson Way, San Jose, CA 95134).

Campers can be picked up at The South Bay Yacht Club (1491 Hope St, Alviso, CA 95002).

o   Medical

Medical or physical issues need to be disclosed at registration. For medication that needs to be administered to a child, at the CP Mentorship Camp, the manager will need written permission from the parent or doctor to administer the same. First Aiders will be available at the camp.

o   Age Limit

We can only accept campers from the age of 8 years to 16 years.

o   Friends

Our staff will play Ice breaker games on the first morning of camp to make sure everybody is introduced, and your child can make new friends while having playing activities.

o   Lunch:

1)      There are two breaks a day.

2)     Lunch and snacks will be provided by us (or pack your own if you have food allergies).

3)     All breaks and lunchtimes are fully supervised by our staff.

 

o   Hot Weather:

1)      Children should wear a sun hat. Apply sun cream before camp.

2)     Children will be reminded to reapply their sun cream during the day.

3)     Please advise your children on the application of sun cream as CP Mentorship staff will be limited in our interaction due to social

distancing.

o   Clothing & Footwear (outdoor activities)

1)      Please ensure that your child brings a long-sleeved top and tracksuit bottoms each day.

2)     All children must wear runners to the camp each day.

3)     If your child has long hair please make sure it is tied up for health and safety.

o   Lost Property:

A designated Table will be allocated where any lost items will be placed at the end of the day. To avoid any items being lost the child’s name is required to be on all items of clothing & bags. CP Mentorship Camp will not be held responsible for any property lost or left at the venue.

o   Mobile Phones:

Children should not bring mobile phones to camp, only usage is after camp. They must remain powered off and kept in their bags.
We are not responsible for lost or damaged phones.

o   Going Home:

Children are collected between 2:50 – 3 pm. Children will stay with their Camp Leader until they are collected.

o   Photographs/Video:

Photographs and videos may be taken at the camp for promotional reasons. We often take photographs at events for marketing purposes. By attending an event, you are giving us permission to use images in which you or a member of your group may be present. In addition, these images may be shared and stored on third-party platforms. Should you not wish your child to appear in any images, please notify the manager at registration.

o   Risk in using an Inflatable

All inflatables carry a risk and any Personal Accident Insurance is the responsibility of the client. We at CP Mentorship Camp will not accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using our inflatables or equipment.

o   Our Child Protection Policy

CP Mentorship Camp is fully committed to safeguarding the well-being of all children and is committed to the Children First: National Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Children, published by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
