  • Students will start the day by meeting their instructor and peers, building a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. We will review kitchen rules, food safety guidelines, and essential safety protocols to ensure a safe and fun experience. Students will be grouped based on dietary restrictions and preferences, as they will be working together throughout the week to prepare meals for one another.

    On the first day, students will practice basic cooking skills outdoors, preparing ingredients for fried rice, such as chopping vegetables. They will also make a simple dessert by combining yogurt and crushed cookies. After cooking, students will work together to clean the kitchen space / outdoor space, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and responsibility.

    In addition, the teacher will share insights into Chinese culture and the origins of fried rice, providing students with a deeper understanding of the dish’s cultural significance. Before wrapping up, we will introduce the recipe for the next day’s meal, keeping the students excited and looking forward to what’s coming next!

  • On the second day, students will dive into Japanese cuisine by learning how to prepare sushi. They will practice rolling techniques using fresh ingredients like vegetables, rice, and seaweed, creating their own colorful and delicious sushi rolls. Additionally, students will make fresh orange juice, exploring the process of juicing and the importance of using fresh fruits.

    As always, teamwork will be emphasized during the preparation and cleanup process. The teacher will also share interesting facts about Japanese food culture and the history of sushi. Before the day ends, students will learn about the recipe for the next day’s dish, keeping the excitement alive for the week!

  • On the third day, students will explore Vietnamese cuisine by making fresh Vietnamese spring rolls. They will learn how to wrap rice paper around a variety of fresh ingredients, such as vegetables and protein, and prepare a flavorful dipping sauce to complement their rolls.

    Additionally, students will make a refreshing yogurt strawberry milkshake, blending fresh strawberries with yogurt for a creamy and nutritious drink. Throughout the session, they will practice knife skills, ingredient preparation, and plating techniques.

    The teacher will also introduce the cultural significance of Vietnamese spring rolls and how they are enjoyed in different settings. As always, students will work together to clean up, reinforcing teamwork and responsibility. Before wrapping up, they will learn about the next day's recipe, keeping the excitement going!

  • On the fourth day, students will explore Italian cuisine by preparing a flavorful bacon pasta with a unique homemade sauce instead of traditional cream. They will learn how to cook pasta to the perfect texture, sauté bacon to enhance its flavor, and mix ingredients to create a well-balanced, delicious sauce.

    To pair with their meal, students will make handmade lemonade, squeezing fresh lemons and blending them with just the right amount of sweetness and fizz for a refreshing drink.

    Throughout the session, they will practice essential cooking techniques such as boiling, and seasoning while also learning about the cultural significance of pasta in Italian cuisine. As always, teamwork and kitchen responsibility will be emphasized through collaborative cooking and cleanup. Before wrapping up, students will be introduced to the recipe for the final day, keeping them eager for the grand finale of the week!

  • On the final day, students will explore Mexican cuisine. They will learn how to layer fresh ingredients such as seasoned protein, beans, rice, and vegetables to create a delicious and well-balanced meal.

    For dessert, they will prepare a warm and creamy taro and coconut milk dish, experiencing the unique flavors and textures of this comforting treat.

    Throughout the session, students will practice assembling and balancing flavors, while also learning about the cultural significance of burritos in Mexican cuisine. As always, teamwork and kitchen responsibility will be emphasized during preparation and cleanup.

    To conclude the week, students will reflect on their favorite dishes, celebrate their culinary achievements, and enjoy a final meal together as a group!
